Whitney here! I'm a registered architect in South Dakota and an educated interior designer. I started Studio 616 because I love design (of course) and am passionate about creating personalized spaces for my clients.

When I am not designing, I enjoy spending time with my husband, 18 month old daughter, and 7-year-old miniature poodle/mutt. When weather permits, we spend as much time outside as possible. We love to bike, hike, golf, ski, camp, and travel. Our goal is to get to all 63 National Parks in the US!

Whitney has had the privilege to work alongside RCM on the design for the new Plaza Azteca that will be taking shape on the east side of Sioux Falls very soon!

The project kicked off a few weeks ago with a groundbreaking celebration complete with a blessing of the land by Fr. Zach Schaefbauer from Holy Spirit Church and delicious food from Plaza Azteca.

Wondering where the '616' comes from in our business' name? It's an important date in our lives—the day we became parents. On June 16th, 2023, we welcomed our daughter into the world, which became the catalyst to Whitney starting Studio 616.

A little over a year later, we saw an opportunity to expand the service offerings and added 616 Brokerage and 616 Legal, ultimately creating the full suite of commercial real estate services called 616 Companies.

The name is a daily reminder to us that business is personal—it's a collaboration rooted in family, community, and faith, and we are excited to share our lessons, trials, and celebrations with our daughter as she grows!
