With a diverse background in both interior design and architecture, I bring a unique skillset to the table when it comes to design. I have a passion for envisioning and creating functional spaces that fit your unique personality, wants, and needs. ​As a registered architect in the state of South Dakota, I'm here to help you bring your space to life.

My journey in design began at South Dakota State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. This foundation provided me with a strong understanding of spatial aesthetics, functionality, and the importance of creating environments that inspire and support their users.

I advanced my design knowledge with a Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota, where I honed my skills in designing unique structures and learned to integrate innovative solutions with practical design. This experience deepened my passion for creating spaces that are beautiful with a focus of the user experience from exterior to interior.

FOUNDER'S STORY
How I Got Here
My journey to founding Studio 616 is rooted in hard work, education, and a passion for design. After earning my Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design from South Dakota State University in 2018, I furthered my education by obtaining a Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota in 2021. After school, my husband and I settled back home in Sioux Falls to be near family and take advantage of its tight-knit community and family-friendly atmosphere. The arrival of my daughter JoLeigh became the catalyst to taking the leap into entrepreneurship as I realized I didn’t want to miss precious moments with my family. Each opportunity I've been given throughout my career has ultimately contributed to my growth as a designer and entrepreneur. Now, with Studio 616, I am embracing the chance to create beautiful, personalized spaces while staying true to my beliefs that business is a family matter.
